Hello…

Hello!

It’s happening, my first blog post, wish me luck and here we go.

My name is Florence Talulla Currie and I’m a little bit surf obsessed.

I’m 18 years old, studying Economics, French and Politics at sixth form college. I live and have always lived in the Surrey Hills. It’s full of mountain bikers and road cyclists here, not surfers.

I started surfing when I was young whilst on holiday in Cornwall and I have been hooked ever since. I mainly surf in Sennen Cove in West Cornwall, but I love discovering new places and travelling. I would love to surf somewhere one day where I don’t have to wear a wetsuit. One can dream I guess.

I’m creating this blog to bring together my love for surfing, fitness, mental wellbeing and the environment. I just want to clarify now that I am really not that great a surfer, but that doesn’t stop me from loving it. The surf community has always been so welcoming to me - to surfers of all levels and backgrounds. Surfing has really inspired my love for a healthy lifestyle and helped me so much with my mental health. I hope to create a community of women and girls - whether you love surfing or are just interested by my blog posts.
